Delivery information

STANDARD DELIVERY COST
For all orders the delivery charge for Mainland UK is £5.50. For Highlands and Islands , European/International
orders, please see the delivery costs table below.
Collect from us!
If you would like to collect from us, you can now
place your order on line, and when you view your shopping cart, choose
'Collect from Karate-kid' as your delivery country. When we receive
your order, we will confirm by email (Please make sure you check your
emails and that the email address is correct!) the date and time that
your goods will be ready for collection.
Pleasenote that heavy items such as Punchbags/training dummies
etc CANNOT be collected from us as these are delivered direct
from the manufacturer to you.
BPFO
We can send orders to BFPO addresses but cannot guarantee that we can despatch your order VAT free.
Please order as normal using either the online store or telephone.
Within the EU: If your BFPO address is eligible for VAT exempt sales you must first fax
( +44 (1226) 785208 us a copy of the VAT exemption form signed by your CO or a scanned email to trade@karate-kid.co.uk.
We will despatch the goods once the form has been received.
Outside the EU: If your BFPO address is outside the EU you will not be charged VAT. However, if it is not obvious that the destination is outside the
EU then we will again need a copy of a VAT exemption form signed by your CO as above.
The following BFPO addresses are subject to VAT : BFPO 6, 8, 15, 49, 105 to 150, 801 to 825 and all BFPO ships. All remaining BFPO addresses are tax exempt
under article 77/388/EEC. To meet the regulations imposed on us by the Inland Revenue you will need to post a copy of the exemption form to our office address.
Customs & Excise in Rheindahlen have advised that this form can be obtained from most Messes or can found in SOBAG 5205 Annex C.
Once the form has been received we will credit the Tax amount back to the account initially charged.
Delivery times
- Delivery times can be as little as 3 working days, however
we cannot guarantee this as we rely on carriers and Royal
Mail and are bound by their standard delivery schedules,
and therefore advise that standard delivery is 7- 10 working
days from date of order, for goods that are immediately
available. These times can increase at peak periods, such
as Christmas, Easter etc.
- Next working day delivery(*) is available on goods
that are in stock at additional cost.
To ensure delivery for the following working day, orders
must be received by no later than 1.00pm on the day prior
to the next working day. I.e. if you order at 12.30pm on Monday
your goods will be dispatched to arrive on the Next Working
day, Tuesday. If you order by 1pm on Friday, your goods will
be dispatched to arrive on the next working day, Monday.
(*) Next working day delivery carries an additional charge
and is available in several ways - some items on site now have
a delivery option, and you can choose Next Working day delivery
at the time of placing your online order.
Please note:Delivery will be between 8am and 6pm - we cannot guarantee the time of NWD delivery as we do not plan 3rd party courier routes/drop times.
If you require
an item that does NOT have a delivery option on line, please
email us or call the order line and we will check that the
goods requested are available for next Working day delivery.
Payment for Next Working day delivery requests by email will
be debited to the card used for the original order and you must
(once availibility has been confirmed by us) email us to confirm
your authorisation of these charges by sending an email stating
your name, order number and the phrase:
' I authorise Karate-kid Ltd to debit my card with the relevant
next working day delivery fee of £.......(Insert correct
fee here, which we will have confirmed in our email advising
of availibility)'.
Please note that Next working day delivery costs shown are in
addition to the standard delivery cost.
We will confirm by email that goods are available prior to
debiting your card with NWD charges.
Additional cost for Next Working day delivery is £12.00
per order for stock items.
Items that are not in held in our stock but available for shipping
direct from the manufacturer are charged at the relevant manufacturers
rate; this is again £12.00 per consignment, (i.e.
if you order and Adidas item and a Kaiten item, the charge is
£12.00 PER manufacturer item) regardless of weight/size.
These costs relate to Mainland UK addresses only, excluding
Northern Ireland, Isle of Man/Skye, Channel islands, Shetland/Wight,
Aberdeen, Inverness and Scottish highlands.

and cost for this service.

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that all items
shown are in stock we offer no guarantee of availability and
this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for
sale. If we are unable to dispatch your order within 10 days,
we will contact you by e-mail with an estimated dispatch date
and offer you either alternative products or the option of
cancelling the order. The contract bewteen you the customer
and us the supplier is deemed to be accepted upon dispatch
of goods.
In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, standard
deliveries are usually completed within 10 working days, however
please allow up to 28 working days.
Please be aware that neither Royal Mail, Parcel Force or Carrier
companies consider weekends or bank holidays as working days.
We are now able to offer times and Saturday morning deliveries,
please email us with details of your order and we will advise
of the costs on an individual basis, as timed deliveries are
costed by weight.
We endeavour to dispatch goods as soon as possible, but cannot
be liable for delays in deliveries to ourselves from manufacturers,
courier delivery times, acts of war, terrorism,natural disaster
or seasonal occurrences (i.e. Christmas/Easter) or delivery
delays to you our customer, due to circumstances which may
be beyond our control, e.g. Industrial Strike, Severe weather
conditions, International delivery services, acts of war,
terrorism, natural disaster or seasonal occurrences.
Scottish/Irish and International Addresses.
Addresses in Inverness, Aberdeen, Tain and areas considered
Highland by courier companies must choose the delivery country
- 'Scottish highlands, areas North of Dundee.' Should you choose
the incorrect delivery country, i.e. UK Mainland for Scottish
highland/outlying areas, Ireland and all international addresses,
we reserve the right to debit your original method of payment
with the additional fee to provide the correct shipping cost
for your delivery area. Please see the delivery costs table
which can be found by clicking the link above 'Delivery times/costs'
, or choose the correct delivery area when you have added to
your shopping cart, and the delivery cost for that area will
be displayed.
If you are not at home when the delivery driver calls...
Should you not be available to take delivery of your parcel,
our carrier will leave a card in order for you to arrange an
alternative delivery time. If you have provided a contact number,
the delivery agent may call you to re-arrange delivery/ask for
directions for difficult to locate addresses.
The Carrier will attempt to deliver to you TWICE, after which
the parcel will be returned to us. Goods shipped using Royal
mail Recorded or Special delivery services will have ONE attempt
only, and a card will be left at the first attempt. Recorded,
special delivery and carrier items not collected/re-arranged
by you will be returned to us after 7 days have elapsed from
the date the first delivery attempt is made, and a further delivery
charge will be payable in order for the goods to be re-sent.
Should you choose to cancel your order in this event, you will
be refunded the goods amount only.
Shureido Gi Delivery Times: Small UK stocks are held,
however as this Gi comes direct from Okinawa in Japan you
should allow 5 - 7 weeks delivery for this item. We will advise
of anticipated delivery date when we receive your order.
Embroidered items: Although we aim to dispatch embroidered
items within 10 working days, please allow up to 28 working
days for delivery of these items, particularly at peak periods
such as Easter and Christmas.
International Delivery Times
International small packet (items weighing under 2kg) deliveries
are shipped via British Parcel Force, currently taking between
7 - 14 working days, however, please allow up to 28 days.
Please be aware that we cannot be responsible for the goods
once they have left the UK and that deliveries are then in
the hands of your countries delivery service agents.
Larger items, weighing over 2kg are shipped via british Parcel
force and can take up to 40 days to arrive in some areas. For
delivery times to specific destinations, please visit the parcelforce.com
website. Please note that in addition to the postal costs, we
will charge £3.50GBP for packing materials and handling.
International and Export orders
Please note that the customer is liable for any Import duties/taxes
payable upon goods reaching destination country. Please also
be aware that all international orders are sent using standard
delivery and we cannot be held responsible for the delivery
of such goods once they have left the United Kingdom and are
placed in the hands of the destination countries delivery agents.
