How to place your order....

How to place your order... These terms form part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Enter the Shopping area, and choose the department you require - i.e. for
Karate suits, choose the Karate Suit department, for Skipping ropes, choose
the Training equipment department. Now choose the item you would like to look at
and click on the picture. Now you will see see the item and its price.
Click the 'Add to cart' button and the item will be added to your
shopping cart. You will be asked to specify your country of delivery
(Please see terms and conditions of sale for more information on Scottish
Highlands, Ireland, Shetland and Orkney isle delivery costs) and to
confirm the cart entry. Now you can continue through the store until you have finished shopping.
When you have finished shopping click the 'checkout' tab and details of your order will be shown
including the delivery charge (if any) that has been applied. At this point you MUST check sizes/colours ordered, particularly for bespoke embroidered or printed goods, and amend them if necessary.
We can only produce what you enter onto your order and confirm as being correct and can take no responsibility if you order these goods
incorrectly.
Now complete your name and address
and your delivery address if this is different from the address to which your credit/debit card is
registered. Choose from the drop down list the method of payment (See below
for ways to pay) and then click continue. Your details will then be confirmed. PLEASE make sure you include a daytime contact number, which may
be used by us if we need to contact you about your order, or the delivery agent in cases where they have been unable to locate your delivery address.

...and pay for your goods
All Debit/Credit Card orders will be negotiated into GBP. (Great British Pounds/Sterling) All orders submitted
by post must be paid for in GBP (Sterling) Payment can be made in the following ways:
Credit/Debit Card
When you have followed the above steps for placing you order and have
chosen the Credit/debit card option, click 'connect to our secure
payment pages' and you will be transferred to Protx secure servers
to make your payment. You will be asked for your Credit/Debit card
details - please note that Karate-kid Ltd never see your card details;
these are passed only to Protx who encrpt them and YOUR bankwho de-crypt
them.
Once your bank receives your request, it will either authorise or decline the request and you will be notified
immediately via an on screen message. Once your payment has been authorised, your bank will debit your
account and you will receive an order notification and invoice from us automatically, provided that you have
supplied us with a valid email address. You are advised to provide a telephone contact number when requested
in case of query.
Our secure on-line ordering system is available 24 hours, 365 days, and the following cards are accepted:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- Amercian Express (Amex)
- Switch/Maestro
- Solo
- Delta
- Visa Electron
Risk
Our payment area is protected by 128bit Encryption; once you enter your payment details, these are then encrypted and are unavailable to all but your
own card issuer/bank.
In some cases, we may contact you to request further proof of identity
before an order is dispatched; this is to protect both you as the
cardholder , and us as the supplier from risk. We have found that
in the continual fight against credit and debit card theft, genuine
cardholders are happy to provide this proof - in fact only one person
has ever refused, and we were able to alert the bank and police who
confirmed that the card details had been stolen - We had already refunded
the order amount to the true cardholder (saving them from further
abuse of their card) and we of course did not have our goods stolen;
a good result all round we are sure YOU will agree!
Unfortunately credit card/debit card thieves to not consider the damage
they do to people they steal from or the companies they steal from,
The upset of having your card cloned/stolen is of no concern to them;
the fact that companies cannot insure against them and that they could
potentially bankrupt a company means nothing.....
So if you DO get a call from us, please do not be alarmed or offended
- we are simply trying to protect YOU and US.
Non-UK/International Orders - International Bank Transfer
Due to the growing number of fraudulent orders from countries outside
of the UK, we now require all Non-UK orders to be paid for by International
Bank transfer arrangements, UNLESS the cardholder has a UK issued
Credit/Debit card and can be traced on the UK Electoral register.
If this is NOT the case, please do not place your order online using
a foreign credit/debit card, as you order will be cancelled and refunded.
To place an order, please email your order requirements to International@karate-kid.co.uk
and a member of our team will confirm the total cost of the
order by return email. You must provide us with proof of identity
(Many of our international customer fax their Passport ohoto
page and a recent copy of their credit card bill showing the
address that they have entered as their registered card address.)
then contact your bank and ask for them to transfer the payment
to our bank account, details of which will be provided to you
at the time of your enquiry. Your bank may make a charge for
this which may include fees to negotiate from your currency
to GBP and for which you are responsible. Your bank will tell
you how long the transfer will take, and will give you a reference
number. You are responsible for accepting all charges from both
your bank and Karate Kid Ltd bank for the transaction and goods
will not be released if the correct fees are not received.
Once this is complete, email International@karate-kid.co.uk
with the Bank name, address and contact number, along with the
bank reference number and expected credit date, and as soon
as this arrives in our bank, we will then dispatch your goods.
By Cash payment
You can pay in cash by paying direct into our bank account.
Email your order details and a contact number to us and then
pay the amount due into our bank account, details of which will
be supplied by telephone using the number you provide at the
time of order. You can pay in at any bank, however there may
be a charge for the service. You must either FAX or POST the
receipt from the bank to us before we can dispatch your order.
Postal Order
It is recommended that orders submitted by post are sent by RECORDED
DELIVERY for your safety.
Cheque payment is no longer accepted (August
2008)
